Welcome and Greetings! I am a Houston transplant living in the Austin area and I am a member of the Williamson County Art Guild. I have had a life long fascination with cave art... petroglyphs and pictographs. As a child I spent a lot of time combing the gravel roads where I lived and when I would find an interesting rock, I would bring it inside the house, paint a simplistic picture on it, and then take it back outside and throw it on the road where I found it in the hope that someone would find it and think they'd found an ancient treasure. I now know that the temper paints I used as a child washed off with the first rain, but I had a lot of fun doing it and it was the beginning of my love affair with art. As odd and/or dull as that may sound, those are some of my fondest childhood memories. Today, some 40 years later, I find myself creating a more sophisticated version of the primitive art I created as a child. I have incorporated my love of bold colors with images that are meant to evoke primordial memories, recalling a time when things were much simpler and yet more difficult. Thank you for spending a few moments of your busy day with me, I hope you enjoy your visit.
